Structural & Thru-Hardened Washers at Empire Bolt & Screw

ASTM F436 is the preferred washer to be used in general purpose mechanical and structural applications with bolts, nuts, and studs.  These are SAE pattern, heat treated washers and are most often used in conjunction with A325 and A490 Heavy Hex Structural Bolts.  Type 1 is the most common type and readily available, a heat treated, hardened carbon steel.  Type 2 is comprised of weathering steel and is much more uncommon.  Diameters range from 1/4” up to 3”, and available finishes include Plain, Zinc Yellow and Hot Dipped Galvanized.
