Round Heads have a flat bearing surface for solid seating on the mating material.  They have a tall, uniformly domed profile, allowing for good driver engagement. Their head diameter is narrower than the similar Pan Head, making them the preference in more limited space applications.  The Slot Drive accepts standard blade screwdrivers, making it a universally accessible drive style.  When used properly with the recommended bit size, Slot Drives require far less downward pressure to drive the screws than that required by a Phillips recess.
